The Grassroots family congratulates players Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson who were named to the prestigious McDonald's All American Team and played in front of thousands of fans in Columbus Ohio on March 31, 2010. Many more at home here in Canada and in the USA cheered on as they watched on TV. A huge moment in both their personal quests to continue advancing to the 'next level', it was also a great sign that Grassroots players are developing well and Canadian basketball talent is growing!

Grassroots Canada (GRC) is committed to providing Toronto inner-city youth with
the resources, guidance and scholarship opportunities needed to develop into
well-rounded student individuals and members of the community. Emphasis will be
put on academic achievement, life skill development, community contribution and
basketball skill development in preparation for the transition from high school
to post-secondary education and on.
We have worked with over 3000 student-athletes at different levels in the last
18 yrs and have seen over 500 elite members go off to various scholarship
situations in the US and Canada.
